Pedal Steel Atlas is a notation system and chord finder for pedal steel
guitar. If something isn't working, or you just have a question, get in touch
— a real person reads every message.
To help us solve it faster, please include:
- Your device and OS version (e.g. iPhone 15, iOS 18.2), or your browser
if you're using the web app.
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
- The name of the tab or copedent involved, if it's specific to one.
Common questions
- Do I need an account?
- No. You can use the editor, the chord finder, and the copedent editor
without signing in — your tabs and settings stay on your device. An
account is only needed to sync across devices and to publish tabs.
- I signed in and my tabs aren't showing up.
- Tabs created before you signed in live on that device until they sync.
Make sure you're online and signed in on both devices. If a tab was
edited in two places, the app will offer to load the newer version when
you open it.
- Is my Pedal Steel Atlas account the same as my Guitar Atlas account?
- Yes. The two apps share one account — one sign-in works in both, and an
Atlas Pro subscription covers both.
- How do I manage or cancel Atlas Pro?
- Subscriptions purchased on iPhone, iPad, or Mac are billed by Apple.
Manage or cancel them in your device's Settings under your Apple Account
→ Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future billing; your subscription
stays active until the end of the current period.
- How do I delete my account?
- Open the account menu in the app and choose Delete account.
This permanently removes your account, cloud tabs, uploaded media, and
imports. Because the account is shared, this also deletes your
Guitar Atlas data. Local files already on your device are not
touched. You can also email us to request deletion.
- I forgot my password.
- Choose Forgot password? on the sign-in screen and we'll
email you a reset link. If the email doesn't arrive, check your spam
folder — and note that requesting several in a row triggers a short
cooldown, so wait a minute before trying again.
- A file won't import.
- The editor imports
.psl tabs, MIDI files, and copedent
.json shares. If a file is rejected, it's usually not in the
format it claims to be — try re-exporting it. Send it over if it still
won't open.
